Photo Restoration

We can produce pristine-looking photographs from nearly any damaged print.

  • Restoring a treasured photo brings back pleasant memories: a great gift or treat for yourself;
  • Restoring photos does honor to your family - a great thing in our disrespectful times;
  • To be sure, the worse the damage is, the more 'art' you're getting and the less 'history' - but if that's the only photo you have of that person, it's quite a reasonable thing to do;
  • Photo restoration reverses damage: it's you doing battle against the forces of the universe - and winning.
  • ...on prices: can't tell without a good scan, but I've charged as low as $5. Most mildly-damaged photos are in the $20-50 range; hideous damage can cost lots more (but we talk about it before official work is started).
  • ...on business practices and guarantees: the idea is for me to take the risk instead of you - see link for details.
Here are some before-and-after examples, so you can see what can be done:

(the orginal photo above was rolled up and so badly damaged that it was nearly tossed; the restoration looks like it was taken yesterday)
(this photo's emulsion had developed cracks all across the image)
(the damaged wallet photo above was successfully enlarged to make an 8x10 print)
(...and with all of the breakups these days, we can also remove people from photos)
